(10 Blockhouse Street, Kempton Park) The Blockhouse flats are available to members of ALPA-SA at R120,00 per night and is situated in Blockhouse Street Kempton Park. There are 5 flats on the premisis with 2 bedrooms in each flat. Two pilots share the lounge, kitchen and barthroom but each has a seperate bedroom with a desk and clean bedding every night. Towels, coffee, tea, milk and sugar are provided.
POLICY BLOCKHOUSE FLATS BOOKINGS Flat bookings can only be made or changed by phoning the Receptionist at HQ during office hours. The receptionist is the staff member responsible for booking and allocating rooms. In the event of her absence, another delegated staff member will assist in providing this service. Outside of office hours a booking request can be left on the answering machine and it will be transcribed into the booking register when the office opens. CANCELLATIONS: In the event of a booking cancellation, please communicate the cancellation as follows: Office hours: Phone Antoinette at HQ. 011 394 5310 After hours: Message on answering machine. The right to charge for bookings that are not cancelled and not utilised is reserved YEAR END CLOSURE The flats will be closed from midday on 24 December to the morning of the first weekday of January each year. This policy will be reviewed on an annual basis according to the leave plans of the caretaker. Individual requests will be considered over this period and accommodated where possible. KEYS Keys are available at reception during office hours. After hours keys (marked with names of occupants and the flat number) can be collected from the box in front of flat 2 (middle flat downstairs). After hours the keys for unreserved flats will be marked as such and left in the abovementioned box outside flat 2. This is to cater for members who have unscheduled night stops or last minute changes to their rosters. If used the member is to contact reception at earliest convenience in order to allow for billing. On departure keys should be returned to ALPA reception during office hours or placed in the box at flat 2 outside of office hours. At close of day the receptionist will give the booking sheet for the day to the caretaker, keys will be dealt with as above. A list will be placed outside flat 2 clearly showing the availability of flats for that evening. Personal preferences in terms of flat occupation will be accommodated if at all possible in order to make the stay in the flats as pleasant as possible. REMOTES Remotes for the electric gate are to be arranged prior to arrival. Members are to ensure that they have a remote that allows access onto the premises after hours. Personal discretion should be used as far as contacting the caretaker after hours in order to gain access to the premises. CLEANING Flats are serviced Mondays to Saturdays, please allow the maid access for cleaning purposes. Additional clean linen is available in each room PERSONAL PROPERTY All personal property must be removed from flats on departure. No exceptions will be made to this rule. MAINTENANCE: Please record maintenance items and complaints in the book provided in each flat. PAYMENT:
